We’re lucky to be situated right at the heart of South Wales, just inside the wonderful Brecon Beacons National Park and at the top end of the South Wales coalfield which is steeped in history. The Brecon Beacons has some of the very best terrain in Wales for mountain biking. Whatever type of riding you're looking for – fast descents, skills sessions or gentle off-road trails – you'll find a location to suit. Just don’t forget to take in the breathtaking scenery. For mountain bike training, instruction or to join a group ride or event, get in touch with the activity companies in the Park.
Penderyn Distillery – The Home of Welsh Whisky. Wales’ first whisky distillery in over 100 years, and pioneers in World Whisky.
Visit our shop or take a tour of the Distillery or even a master class and discover the award winning products of Wales’ iconic distillery.
During the hour-long tour you will learn about the founding of Penderyn, how our award-winning whisky is made and what makes it so unique. See our mill, our mash tun, our innovative single copper-pot Penderyn stills and our latest addition – a pair of pot stills. At the end of your tour sample some of our products in our Tasting Bar.
The distillery is open 7 days a week from 9am-5pm, and from 9.45am on a Sunday. Depending on availability, last tour of the day will begin at 4pm.

On the south-westerly edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park three rivers – the Mellte, Hepste and Nedd-fechan - have carved their way through soft rocks to create steep wooded gorges full of caves and some of the most dramatic waterfalls.
10 minute drive away is home to Phoenix and the Tower Coaster, Zip World Tower is the 4th Zip World site to open, and is the 1st to be situated in South Wales. Nestled in the Rhigos mountain range, and boasting stunning panoramic views.
